Verrazzano Supplemental Application
For Incoming Freshmen

Priority Deadline for Fall: February 1

Applications received by February 1st will be reviewed first.
Applications received after February 1st will be reviewed on a rolling basis through April 30.

First, After you apply to the College of Staten Island, you will receive an email inviting you to claim your CUNYfirst account. When you log-in to the CUNYfirst Student Center, you will see the CUNYfirst ID number, an 8-digit number, at the top of your self service screen. You will need this number to proceed with the Verrazzano application.

Second, complete this application form, using your contact information, not that of a parent or other relative.

Third, you need to

submit two confidential, typed letters of recommendation from high school counselors or teachers (letters can be sent separately to our office via email or hard copy)

submit a resume listing work, extracurricular, community, and service activities (including dates of participation), honors and awards received

submit a high school transcript

submit one essay, one page maximum, telling us a little bit about yourself. Don’t just reiterate your resume or transcript; rather, describe who you are or who you want to be. What makes you tick? What are you passionate about? We would like to get a sense of you as the unique person you are.

When you complete the on-line application, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to submit these materials.
